About Me
Mental Health Specialist
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the therapist behind Hart & Mind Therapy Solutions. My background began in behavioral therapy using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children on the autism spectrum and expanded into inpatient psychiatric care with children and adults experiencing complex mental health needs. My experience includes depression, anxiety, PTSD/C-PTSD, psychosis, schizophrenia, autism, personality disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, postpartum mental health, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.
My Approach to Therapy 🌿

Depending on a client’s needs, my work may incorporate:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed interventions, particularly for emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, distress tolerance, and concerns associated with personality disorders
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Gottman Method-informed couples therapy
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
• Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• Trauma-informed approaches
• Mindfulness-based interventions
• Behavioral interventions and principles
• Grief and bereavement counseling, including meaning-making, acceptance, adjustment, and processing of loss
• Person-centered and strengths-based approaches
Although I integrate several orientations, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the foundation of much of my clinical work. CBT recognizes that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we can identify unhelpful patterns, explore where they come from and how they affect your life, develop healthier ways of responding, and build practical coping and emotional-regulation skills. CBT isn’t simply about “thinking positively”—it’s about developing greater awareness of your patterns and creating meaningful, sustainable change both inside and outside of therapy.

Why Choose Us?
We Can Help With

-
Mindfulness & Emotion-Focused Approaches
Uses awareness, acceptance, and emotional processing to help regulate mood, cope with stress, and navigate difficult emotions. Effective for mood disorders, anxiety, and life transitions.
